Chevrolet - Broken wave plate
We just had the same problem on our 2008 chevy Malibu we purchased used last year. Wave plate broke less than 3 months out of warranty but we were under the mileage.
After weeks of dealing with GM they take no responsibility. My teenage daughter was driving the car when the plate broke. Good thing she didn't panic and wreck the car! I am beyond furious that they have a known problem that they refuse the fix with either a recall or an unlimited warranty.THEY KNOW IT IS A FAULTY PART!
I guess because no one has died or gotten hurt, they do not consider it recall worthy? I now have paid more for the car then what it is worth an can never sell it because we won't recover what we are out on the transmission repair. I WILL NEVER buy another GM product. And I'm checking into any class action lawsuits that may be filed.
We definilty want to be part of that! My husband and I's families have always owned only GM, Every car we have ever owned ourselves has been GM. But since their downturn on quality and customer service, we will now be looking at Toyota and/or a Ford Explorer. So much for loyalty.
GM isn't loyal to me, so I'm no longer loyal to them. Done.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $1505.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Chevrolet Cons: Gm refuses to recognize the problem.
