2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Lt 4wd Car Review from Margate, Florida

Terrible car and terrible customer service. My daughter got locked inside the car with the keys inside. The door is never supposed to close with keys inside! We had to break the window to get her out. Now chevy is telling us we are at fault for breaking the car window and we need to go through with fixing it with our insurance company. A week later our Ac is broken! Very discusted by there customer service!

2014 Chevrolet Sonic Car Review

If your thinking of buying a chevy, stop! buy a FORD. there mechanics are better and the warranty is better. You will NOT get what you paid for with Chevy Bought 37000 miles drove 4000 and broke down. Especially don't buy from Stanley Chevrolet in Kaufman TX, 2 bad experiences with them will never buy a chevy ever again, I will walk if I have to or ride a bike. For years I have had a Ford and never had been charge for anything but my deductible matter of fact just had breaks done at 88,0000 miles. With chevy they have all these excuses why you have to pay this, that, or the other. and I wish I had gone with my gut and bought my mother the FORD EDGE, The only thing left to say is buyer be ware, and if you have to have a Chevy buy anywhere but DO NOT buy from Stanley Chevrolet in Kaufman.

Poor quality and sorry service!

Has a recall on our 2001 Monte Carlo ( have had many) waited 2 hrs for my 10:00 appointment. Took 20 minutes to repair my car. Find my engine cover in the front seat, told my engine cover won't fit now due to the repair! You seriously could not make the repair to which the cover would fit back on or I know, how about a new engine cover now! I have noticed how your quality has went downhill over the past few years. We will not buy any more Chevy products due to your poor service and quality of your vehicles!!! Get it together, you pay your employees top dollar for low quality work!

Chevrolet - Manager Review from Pretoria, Gauteng

Moss Brothers Chevrolet Moreno Valley This place is by far the wost dealership around. I purchased a Silverado and opted to buy a factory tow package as well. Getting an appointment was a complete joke. Lisa in the service department was very unorganized and did not return several phone calls. She had no idea as to how long the appointment would even take. I finally got an appointment, when I picked up my truck I found they had sent my truck to an outside company (Riverside Hitch and Trailer) and had a cheap aftermarket hitch installed. Upon further inspection the bed of my truck was scratched. When I arrived home I pluged in my trailer lights to find it was wired wrong as well. The reverse light on my truck would not go off. I contacted the general sales manager Amer Ali and he promised he would take care of everything. Brought the truck back. They did remove the aftermarket hitch an install a factory one. They also fixed the wiring problem. The scratch is now worse with a pressure dent from rubbing so hard. There was wax splattered along side of the truck as well. Justin the service manager also promised a tank of gas for the inconvenience. Upon pick up this was not complete. What a huge disappointment. These people are a bunch of snakes. All I wanted is what I paid for. I would never trust this dealership. They are very shady people who give Chevrolet a bad name. One frustrated customer, Todd Graff

Chevrolet - Car Review from Lowell, Massachusetts

I am very unhappy with the service at Lannan chevrolet in Tewksbury MA. I had a recall on my ignition. They replaced the ignition which works great. However the key wont work for the trunk. I made another appt and they changed it twice. Was told it wasnt a priority. I would have to drop it off on a Sat and leave the vehicle. I need my car. This whole thing is very frustrating. I realize your not making any money on this but i need my car. The gentleman i spoke with didnt care what so ever. Very condesending.....very unhappy with the service.

Bad Vehicle 2015 Silverado

Bought a new 2014 Silverado last month, Crew Cab, LT, V6. Been a gm truck owner since I was 16. I have 1500 miles on it now. I did test drive a bit, but didn't realize these issues at the time. Heres my issues with it. It is completely gutless, throttle response is non existent, unless you really get on it, and then its too much. Feels like im pulling a boat anchor everywhere I go. *** mileage, Best mileage I have gotten was 7.4 mpg on a tank, and that was 90% highway and interstate. Hand calculated and on the dash. Yes its a truck I didnt buy it for fuel mileage, but when they advertise something it should at least get close to that. I do realize its winter blend fuel right now. Im averaging 3mpg right now. My 05 I had 8 years got 17.5 Every tank with mixed driving!!! Lastly, is the clunky transmission and always seems to be in the wrong gear, lugs, Hard 1-2 and 2-1 shifts. Do these seem like computer related issues? Im bummed I cant even enjoy my new truck.

I totally feel your disappointment, my 2014 impala ltz with bairly 20,000 miles on it has been *** since the beginning, I bought it new paid 32 for it and I own it! it gets awful gas mileage too, about 11-13 mpg on a good day it's never got the 24 they advertised!

it's a v6 and it gets close to the same gas mileage as my 84 Monte Carlo SS does with a 383 stroker motor it's sad and what's even worse is chevys lack of concern or plan give a *** for the people who helped bail them out by buying there over priced junk! My first and last new car! The ac smells, my driver door button stopped unlocking, the head liner has had to be replaced and needs to be again as the sun roof rubs and makes it fray, the drivers seat cover was replaced due to little hairs coming threw, the transmission has slipped at least 10 different times, the exhaust is always visible, it's leaked oil in my driveway more then the 84', lets see paint on window switch has chipped how I have no clue, the tread on the tires are almost gone, quite cabin lmao yeah ok, door seals lol another joke as there is always condensation in the door jams, the trunk had the water issue, inconsistent power, I can never tell when it will react right so puts me in dangerous situations. I hate Chevrolet now!

They just don't make them like they use too, what a understatement! I've had more problems with this car then all my other cars combined and then to deal with the condescending rude idot dealerships makes it all a nightmare!

As if anyone in there right mind would want to deal with them anymore than nessary, its insulting to be treated like I'm making it up! Sorry my rant could go on and on good luck your not alone!

Chevrolet - Car Review from Owings Mills, Maryland

I have a 2010 Chevy Impala which I have been having issues with my Throttle position pedal since 2014. I received a letter in January stating that if I had issues with the throttle position pedal then bring it into the dealership to be fix. After further investigation of the letter it stated if your car is within 10 years or 120,000 miles. Well my car was 123,000 miles but I still took it because again I have the documentation stating it was happening way before I reached 120,000 miles well the dealership said to contact GM which I did and they then say it's nothing they can do because it is out of the limits they set.

Help

Hi I’m calling for help to anyone who willing to help me. The dealer (key Pinetown) done something wrong with the vehicle they messed up the service and GMSA is aware they didn’t do anything about it beside to tell me that they will speak with the dealer management. The car on service book is sitting on 30 000 KM waiting for 45 000 KM service but according to odometer the car is in 52 000 KM that means it skip the service for 45 000 KM. I did report this to GMSA what did they do nothing they told me the dealer will call me to book a car for the service even now I’m still waiting. The car is flashing the warning light now that means there is a problem with the car what should I do since dealer(key Pinetown) and GMSA knows about this but they are not helping me at all. The carelessness and not caring of key Pinetown is costing me lot of stress but GMSA always put a blame on me. After this complain that is when I’m going to get attention I hope this is how they work. I think I have to wait till the car is fully damaged so that I will have to pay GMSA is aware and they are not doing anything about this I’m scared even to drive the car now but everyone is ware of the problem Answers: 1. How long should I wait for the call to bring the car for the service? 2. I want to know what you are going to do about this mess you done in car by making a mistake of skipping a service. 3. What was the steps taken about the negligence of key Pinetown? This was the last email I got from Thibe Pooe if you look into Answer of question 3a , b and c you and understand the situation I’m in right you will see this people they don’t value their customer at all and GMSA is aware but they down do anything beside to conclude for you and if you not satisfied they shut you down. Good day Mr. Ngubane, Question 1 & 2: • The correct information is that the discussion happened physically at the dealership and should the footage be made available after the necessary legal process has been followed – we would still be unable to confirm the outcome of the conversation since there’s no audio on CCTV footage. Question 3a: • We take note of the human error made by our dealer and we will ensure that internal measures are put in place to avoid such from re-occurring. However with this said, we cannot hold the dealership entirely responsible for the error in mileage as the vehicle has a manual setting to have the mileage changed and this could have been done mistakenly by any party. Question 3b & c: • I was highlighting the next service interval which was 45 000kms. We are aware that your vehicle has already been serviced successfully. The conversion from miles to km’s will not affect your warranty in any way. The matter was discussed with our Regional Manager, Mr. Lloyd Appanna who advised that even though the vehicle is currently on 50 000km GMSA will still honour is warranty obligations if the vehicle is serviced immediately. The dealership will document that the service was done late due to the mileage being recorded in miles and not kilometres. Please note that if the vehicle is not serviced immediately then you do face the risk of the warranty being fully void. We will request the dealership to be in contact with your service plan administrator to clarify any misunderstanding that may arise. Question 4: • We as General Motors SA are required by law to comply with the South African Bureau of Standards and ensure we therefore we will not be selling vehicles that do not meet the regulated standards. Furthermore, we would like to point out that we sell our new vehicles with a 5 year / 120 000 km warranty and free 5 year / 120 000km roadside assistance Driver Support Plan. The warranty is intended to protect the vehicle owner against unforeseen costs related to any premature component or product failure that may occur excluding wear and tear items as per the terms and conditions of our New Vehicle Warranty. We sell vehicles with a warranty for this very reason, that we cannot guarantee that our customers will never experience any component failures, taking into consideration that our motor vehicles are manufactured with 5000 plus components. In such circumstances, we will replace or repair the component and not replace the vehicle (e.g. a R35 000 gearbox will be repaired or replaced, but not the R330 000 vehicle). In addition, every vehicle and concern is fully investigated and repaired based on its individual merit and concern. Should you still be dissatisfied with our above responses to your questions. Please seek alternative dispute resolution by contacting the Motor Industry Ombudsman. No further communication will be received from us regarding this particular matter. We now consider this mater closed. Kind regards, Thibe Pooe Customer Service & Operations Manager GMSA Customer Care Centre ramothibemosimanegape.pooe@***.com T 011 806 **** | C 0800 42*

Negligence/Unsafe Chevrolet HHR

Have 2008 Chev. HHR wagon. Part of ignition recall 2014. Vehicle stalls on freeway at 75mph. Atleast 6 incidences of near death. 4 garage visits, noone can diagnose problem, until the recall. Finally had ignition fixed and problem was ok until today. My daughter driving to work today had Semi-truck swerve off road to avoid rear ending her. Call to Chevrolet today says owner problem. Not theirs. No recall at this time. Why not just say, go ahead and die on the freeway as your car loses all power and no power steering to get off highway and avoid death. Thanks GM No dealership will touch the car for a tradein because of the safety concerns. What do I do with the car GM? Let you children drive it? Knowing they could die on the freeway today?

Chevy (Chevrolet) Vehicles are ***

Update by user Nov 18, 2015

What follows is my update on this issue. gm never contacted me about this issue. They just ignored it.

More on that later.

After some further investigation (Google & Youtube) I find out this is a common problem with gm large SUV's and Pickup trucks. The mechanism that unlocks the spare tire and lets it come down - seizes up over time, and won't let the spare tire come down.

The solution is simple - periodically spray some anti-seize (WD-40 or CRC) on the latch mechanism, to keep it working properly.

However, gm doesn't tell you this. They just let seize up, and leave you (the motorist) stranded on the side of the road - unable to change your flat tire.

How many motorists have been left stranded in this manner? I'm sure it's in the millions. So far that's fairly typical for gm. How much can we screw the paying motorist - with poor engineering, expensive parts and service, and, *** vehicles? No Integrity! The heading for my original post was - Chevy vehicles are "***." Unfortunately pissedconsumer didn't like that word, and deleted it. So I'm going to try a few others. Chevy vehicles are "horrible." Chevy vehicles are "terrible." Chevy vehicles are "poorly engineered." Chevy vehicles are "unreliable." Do yourself a favor and buy vehicles from another manufacturer. You'll save yourself a ton of heartache and money. Thanks for reading.

After many years of pain and aggravation with my chevy trailblazer vehicle, I’ve finally had enough. What follows will be a weekly blog that outlines my various problems and trials with my chevy trailblazer. Thank you to pissedconsumer for allowing me this forum to discuss my frustrations, and, alert you all to the reasons why you SHOULD NOT purchase or lease a chevy vehicle. The latest episode. ============== Over the past week I have noticed that my left rear tire has a slow leak. I add air to it, and one day later it starting to look low. After two days it is really low, and I must add air before driving anywhere. I’ve been stopping at a gas-station every day to add air to the tire. My proposed solution - Change the tie and put on the full-size spare. Then take the leaky tire to the tire store and have them fix it. Easy, right. On the weekend I tried to change the tire, to swap the spare onto the left rear of the car and take the leaky tire to be fixed. However, to get the spare tire out you have to connect the jack handle to the spare tire cable winch system, and winch down (lower) the spare tire down to the ground, remove center holder mechanism from the center of the rim. So I wound the spare tire cable winch down to release and lower spare tire. The winch cable released and wound all the way down. However, the spare tire stayed latched to the underside of the car. The spare tire would swivel and move around, but it would not release and come down, even though the cable was all the way down. OMG what a mess. Total mess I can’t even change my own spare tire. Now I’m up for a bunch of time and labor just to change my own spare tire. MAJOR FAIL - gm. Thanks for reading. Look for future installments on my blog – the trials misfortunes of owning a gm vehicle.

2015 Silverado, engine ruined at 27k miles, no warranty help

Chevrolet - 2015 Silverado, engine ruined at 27k miles, no warranty help
One of our two 2014 Silverado pickups with 6.0 gas engine spun a ros bearing at 27000 miles and ruined engine. without removing a single bolt to see what caused the failure, Chevrolet declined the warranty because we did the oil changes ourselves. We paid $8,400 to get a new engine installed at an independent shop. After 49 years of GM loyalty, I will never buy another one. The ruined engine turned out to have just one bad bearing and the shop owner said his opinion was that the bearing was defective. We are about to submit to BBB arbitration to see if we can get any help. The two new Silverados cast 45k each. The second one has had no problems and our oldest one of 5 has over 240k miles.

2012 tahoe

Purchased a new 2012 tahoe, along with extended warranty(100,000 mile) I have refused to drive it since day one. The vehicle has a serious steering problem which the dealer refuses to deal with. After complaining 4 times, I took vehicle to dealership, and left it. They still refused to admit there is a problem, and told me never to set foot on their dealership property again. Now at a little less than 3 years old, the dash has started to crack, and break in several areas. This is not what I expect from a $60,000 vehicle. Chevrolet should be held accountable, not only for the quality of the product, but also these dealerships customer service!
