Lack of supervision and inability to speak with a corporate rep

I attempted to speak with a rep about a current commercial by Chevrolet. I was first connected to a "rep" in the Phillipines who transferred me to India. I asked to be transferred to the Corp. Headquarters in the U.S. I was told that this could not be done. After a short discussion, it was determined that I was not going to be transferred so I hung up. How can a business be run this way. Anyway, you are currently running a commercial with "customers" being shown Chevy's. At the end, a customer is heard commenting "what a mama jammer". the "millennial" who wrote this has no idea of what that comment really means. This term was used during the period of between the 60s-80s to soften the worst curse word phrase ever used that being "Mother-f---er" check it out. Stop using the phrase.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 3500HD DRW

Today a man from the "GM executive office" named Larry called me about the email my wife sent to you all. This man was not Quintin who I had previously worked with and thought I was waiting to hear back from. This gentleman hadn't fully read the two emails that my wife sent nor was he fully versed in our situation. He also told me that he could guarantee me that GM would not offer us any trade in assistance to get us in a new truck without being upside down. Given my discussion with this man today my wife and I decided that giving you a more clear summary may be of some assistance to you all and to Larry. It may also assist you all in fully understanding our situation thus preventing any further insults. In October 2015, we purchased a NEW 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 3500HD DRW from Vernon Auto Group in Texas. This my seventh GM made truck. We purchased this TOP OF THE LINE Silverado with the intent to pull our fifth wheel RV. We LIVE in this RV and are gearing up to use it during my wife's travel nursing assignments. From the start of our ownership, we always noticed the front passenger carpet and mat to be damp. At times we would see droplets of water under the clear mats that we used to protect the carpeted mats when traveling. None of this really alarmed us for well over a year of ownership until a few months ago when we had some very significant rainfall. After several days of heavy, steady rain fall, my wife was getting in the truck and noticed that the floor was sopping wet. Initially we thought that maybe the sunroof leaked but everything around the sunroof was dry. We checked the window seals, the door seal/jam and even the windshield. All were dry. We were at a loss as to how the floor became so saturated. We did a Google search and found that other's with Silverados also had leaks, so I scheduled service at Sunrise GMC Buick Wolfchase. Tracy Davis, Service Writer and Paul Baggett, Service Manager both have taken great care to spend time thoroughly inspecting our vehicle; tearing it down; isolating what they thought was the issue; and rebuilding the interior while replacing some parts. The initial service visit lasted three weeks. The invoice that the dealer gave to us shows that visit was only two weeks but that's when Tracy said he thought they had the problem fixed - after a heavy rainfall, I got a call from Tracy saying that it was back to the drawing board and the truck was kept for another ten days although the invoice doesn't reflect the additional days. During that visit it was found that water was coming into the truck via the fire wall after much of the truck had been disassembled. According to the invoice the carpet was allowed to thoroughly dry and the carpet padding was replaced. As far as clean up was concerned it states that the interior was vacuumed and engine sprayed off. The crew at Sunrise Wolfchase were so thorough that we thought for sure that the issue was resolved when I picked up the vehicle THREE weeks after dropping it off for service. Shortly after picking up the truck I had the transmission fluid flushed. While there Tracy noticed that the truck still smelled like mildew, so he suggested we make an appointment to bring it back and have it looked at again. The following week we noticed the mildew/mold smell get stronger and stronger. My wife doesn't ride in this truck every day. So after a few days not in the truck, She noticed a significant increase in the mold smell. I looked around and found that the rear passenger side floor was sopping wet. She refused to ride in the truck since she has asthma and reactive airway disease. She didn't want to risk having a flare up and not being able to breathe. On March 9th, I took the truck back to the dealership for repair and cleaning. It was in the shop for four and a half weeks. I don't fault them for having the truck long enough to repair it properly but I do have concerns about a truck purchased new leaking in two separate areas and I have concerns about whether or not the mold, mildew and smell will ever be able to be completely removed from the truck. As I've stated above, my wife has asthma and reactive airway disease. Mold and mildew odors make it difficult for her to breathe. If it is not completely eradicated from the truck there is the potential for her to have a reaction. This is the truck that we purchased so that we can pull our fifth wheel camper around the country, as she works as a travel nurse. It's also the truck that we bought with the intention of driving grand kids around while they watch movies on the rear entertainment center. I don't want to put my grandchildren in a vehicle with mold growing anywhere in it. Our son has asthma also. Any mold or mildew lingering can cause him to have issues too. While our truck was in the shop the leak was repaired. They found while the truck was there that the water pump was leaking, so that was replaced under warranty. The invoice reflects that the seats, carpets and mats were steam cleaned. I can assure you that the seats were not steam cleaned because the front passenger seat still has some chocolate in the seat perforations that has been there for quite some time. Steam cleaning this should have resolved this issue. Of course the truck still smells mildewy and old. I have little faith that the odor will ever fully resolve. When I picked up the truck from the last service I immediately noticed a deep vacuum sound coming from the engine. I immediately returned to the service department and after an hour and a half the truck was returned to me. Lately this noise has reoccurred and is bothersome. Beyond the potential health issues mold, mildew and leaking cab greatly diminish resale value on the truck. This is as much of a concern as any. One day we may not need this big of a truck. At that point, we hope to retain some resale value. While we applaud Sunrise Wolfchase for really trying to be thorough and ensuring that we have a loaner vehicle, we've still been without our truck for seven and a half weeks since the first of the year. That is over a month and a half. It's spring here in Memphis. We are in the beginning of camping season. Unfortunately we are unable to camp because our loaner vehicle has no fifth wheel hitch and even if it did, it certainly couldn't pull our beast of a camper. It's also rainy season, which means that without proper repair the truck will continue to leak. Larry arranged for me to take the truck back to the service department this afternoon. Once again we find ourselves without a proper vehicle for towing our fifth wheel camper OR our truck in a similar condition to what it was BEFORE this leaking problem. This truck has NEVER been smoked in and used to smell like brand new leather. This is no longer the case. This is Chevrolet's top of the line truck. We paid over $60,000 for this vehicle. How can Chevrolet or GM expect that we would want to continue to hold on to a vehicle that we may not be able to use for it's intended purpose? How could Chevrolet not care about the safety and health of my family? We purchased a truck at this price point because it's supposed to last us for many years to come. We did not expect to have issues this early in our ownership. The phone calls that we've received and/or didn't receive from Quentin/GM/Larry have been insulting. Quentin offered a goodwill gesture the equivalent of ONE monthly payment OR an extended warranty. While we appreciate any effort it is insulting to know that GM thinks nothing more of this issue than a single solitary monetary payment.

Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield, Mo Isn't So Reliable

I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado from Reliable. The salesman told me all kinds of things they would do not one thing has been done as promised! They claim they put a paint protectant on my vehicle, so I said give me the info on it and what the warranty is. 2 oil changes per year for 5 years, give me a copy of that, no they want me to go online and copy it off the internet. Hello? I just spent more money on this truck than I spent on my house! I don't work for you so you do the leg work, what did I just pay for? I asked for a breakdown of the Vehicle I.D. number, the manager I was speaking to told me what do I mean a breakdown of the V.I.N. and that he has been in the car business for 20 years and he told me there is no breakdown for the V.I.N. Well Mr. Manager each number and each letter on all Motor Vehicles have V.I.N. breakdowns, and I worked for a major insurance company for 25 years and I actually taught people how to read the breakdown of the V.I.N. for about 10 of those years. The 1st digit will tell you where your vehicle was built or what factory on mine the 10th digit tells me which of 4 different 6.0 ltr engines my truck has in it. Oh I almost forgot, I told the salesman (who already doesn't work there anymore?) I have a vehicle that will be bought back by the manufacturer on Dec 15th so I needed my truck payment to be differed until December "oh sure,we do that all the time no problem he say's" turns out they don't but the manager I was speaking to says " I'll review the tape,we video tape all transactions for these dispute purposes" Can anyone see uh Lawsuit for video taping and recording me without my consent or knowledge? WTH. Every-time I call and ask to speak with the new truck sales manager, I get someone different. At this point I am being treated like a piece of dirt. Once they got my money it KMA baby! Oh, also they sent me 3 surveys on how they did, wish I had received them later than sooner.

Chevrolet - Customer Care Review from Portland, Oregon

I bought a new 2014 impala ltz out right for 32 thousand, and have had nothing but problems from the start. I have spent the last two years trying to get gm/Chevy to send me to a dealership that is competent enough to fix (and not break something else) my car, I am still waiting for this to happen! I have been told not to come back to one dealership (they broke a part of my car, never fixed it, and I can no longer go there for them to fix) ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FROM GM/CHEVY WHAT SO EVER! Ive had atleast 14 different senior advisors (lol, what a joke) assigned to my case, each time to do NOTHING BUT GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND IN THE END SAYING THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO! My car has right around 18000 miles on it, the transmission slips, it smokes sitting in traffic with 70s trucks idling with NO VISABLE exhaust coming out, my lifetime mpg is 16 mpg, and the car has some kind of gas saving feature installed that ofcourse costed more, oil started leaking from it with 24%, oil life left, brakes are not consistent, sometimes making a grinding nose when first started, other times traveling all the way to the floor, it has unpredictable acceleration, the AC stinks so bad it makes me sick! The list goes on! I'm ready to put one of those "*** on Chevy" stickers on my own car! I now no why Chevy had to be bailed out of bankruptcy, they learned nothing! Never again chevy! Your everything is garbage!

2016 Chevrolet Sonic Car Review

2 months ago I bought a 2016 sonic. 4 days ago the power steering and brakes stopped working. This is a 2 month old car with less than 2000 miles on it. Took it to the dealership immediately. Chevrolet still hasn't bothered to ship the part it needs. I paid cash for this car and I have nothing but an expensive paperweight.

OnStar Never Available When You Need Them

Was pulling our boat when the trailer bearing froze and smoke was billowing on the highway. Pulled over and pushed OnStar in both vehicles to summons help. I guess their satellite doesn't work in an area where it's high, surrounding by a thousand acres of pastures. I even pushed the SOS. Eventually a highway patrol came but nobody ever called me back. Same situation six months ago. Locked keys in and a rep said she couldn't open the car but had to wait 20 minutes for a tow truck to come and unlock. So why am I paying all this money?

Broken inside door handles

From the moment I got my HHR I've had problems with it. First I had a problem with the ignition switch. I asked the place where I bought the car and they said, "It's not a wide scale problem...But I found out that it was a wide spread problem. I had an accident, they replaced the skin on the front and back doors. After I got the car back the speakers on the left side of the car didn't work. I surely didn't want to take it back again. Then the driver's side door handle broke off. I've been putting my window down to open my door. Yesterday my wife got out of the car and the passenger side inside door handle broke. Why make a product if the product is flawed?????? I'm afraid to take the car to the dealer.

Chevy warranty repair

I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze after having car a few weeks started getting a terrible fume smell when using AC. I have to roll down the windows and turn AC off, 2 times I had to get out of car and got sick. Took to dealership who agreed they smelled the fumes but couldn't figure out where it was coming from so there was nothing they could do. Called Chevy directly who after a month told me the district manager "Bob" for my area said it is normal to have that do to condensation and water building up on who knows what and that after running the AC it will go away. My car is under warranty have only made two payments and they want me to just deal with it. Wonder if if was them or "Bobs" wife and children having to smell these fumes if he would tell them to just deal with it. I traded in a Chevy Impala to get this car but will never buy from Chevy again and will make sure anyone who will listen will know what I'm dealing with and how Chevy treats their customers and doesn't follow thru with fixing a problem when car is still under warranty. JUST DEAL WITH IT NOTHING WE CAN DO THANKS ROCHELLE FOR NOTHING. Waiting on a return call from "Bob" which Rochelle couldn't even guarantee I will get BIG SURPRISE!!!!!!!

Horrible Experience with General Motors – Chevrolet Damaged my Car during service.

Please read, if you are a General Motors- Chevrolet Car Owner Hi All, Just wanted to share my experience at Chevrolet Service Centre in India. I brought my car to Chevrolet service Centre in India, for regular service and replacement of ignition coil. At the time of handover of my car, I specifically told the service advise that CNG kit is installed in my car, if you guys are comfortable doing the service and replacement, then go ahead else, let me know, so that I can take a call. The service advisor, prepared the estimate for all the work, and told me to come next day for delivery. After two days, when I went to the service station for delivery of my car, the service advise told handover the bill to me and get the car washed. He informed me that get the CNG disconnect from outside and come for replacement of ignition coil. I made the complete payment as told to me by service advisor, though the ignition coil was not replaced. When I got my car, my car was not getting switched to CNG. When I get this checked with the local mechanic, I got to know that the main component of the CNG kit got damaged and needs to be replaced. The replacement of ignition coil, which was supposed to be done did not happen and they damaged the CNG kit in my car. I made a complaint to Chevrolet customer care next day and got a call from service advisor. I told them if you guys were not comfortable working on call having CNG kit installed in it, you should have told me at the initial stage instead of damaging my car. I said, whatever happed, now have to get this done from outside. He insist me to bring the car to service Centre and told me that I will not be charged. The customer care manager also called me and told me to bring the car for service station and they will get this fixed. I brought the car to the service station as per their given time and date. After two days, they told me that I have to pay ten thousand rupee more for repaid and they will not fix the CNG kit damage. This was crazy. Actually, they wanted to me to bring the car again to their service station so that the generate more revenue and more money. I made a complaint at higher authorities. Initially, they we not ready to believe me that Chevrolet service station behaved like this. One of them told me that I am making excuses to avoid payment. This is the way Chevrolet India is working in India and do not hesitate to make such comments on customers to earn money. I made the payment whatever they told me and get my car released from them. After that, I shared the call conversation and other evidence with the higher authorities, which proved them that the service station was wrong. Now, I have my car with me with damaged CNG system in it. I wanted to share my experience with you all, so that we can keep this in mind, before going to Chevrolet service station.

Chevrolet Sales Representative Review from Port Richey, Florida

We have been loyal customers at Castriota Chevrolet throughout the years, 4 vehicles purchased through them to be exact. Never again! Sales people that are there now are sneaky and lazy and obviously dont care to make a sale. Suburban was listed at 17, 900 online, we go to view it and its marked wholesale, amazingly a week later its 19,990 because they "fixed" the locks. False advertising or trying to sell junk. Told us we couldnt get into that vehicle ( hadnt even pulled our credit yet) but instead told us they could get us into a brand new traverse (even more pricey)! You have lost our trust Castriota and I will let everyone know why! Please bring back the caliber of sales people you "used too" employ, not lazy sneaks that are not concerned with customers. And how about not posting vehicles for sale on line (that arent really for sale) that you have marked for wholesale because they are BROKE or is that just a scam to bring people in to talk them into more expensive cars???? NEVER AGAIN
