Equinox engines are junk

Our 2012 equinox has been serviced on a regular basis and had 40000 miles when the timing chain broke.$1800.00 later I called Chevrolet Customer service and attempted to present my story to a rep whom I could barely understand.She seemed to have little time for me and my problem.She denied any help.Ihave resolved not to buy any more Chevrolet products which is unfortunate since both of our fathers retired from GM.

NEVER AGAIN

I called them because their dealership lied and sold me a warranty on my brand new car that they said was for 120k miles, but was only ever for 100k. Now that I hit 100k with perfect dealership maintenance on the car I have an oil leak and a coolant leak. I asked them if they would be able to provide financial assistance for my $2,000.00 repair since I am a loyal customer and they said no. I will be getting rid of the Cruze and I have learned from my mistakes. Thank you for showing me how much GM cares about their customer. NOT.

STOP BUYING GM PRODUCTS

This is GM customer assistance number, first off people are very rude and very unhelp Makayla worst person to speak to does not help at all I have a 2016 chevy malibu with just over 60 k miles and motor is out and they dont wanna help me with repairs. I have always bought chevy vehicles and this will be my last time worst experience ever even tho I took it to the dealer multiple times and never helped me find the problem and now that they did they dont want to help when their saying 8 / 10 cars have the same problems and they dont recall them their stealing from us STOP BUYING GM PRODUCTS.!

I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu lt that has a little over 36,000 miles and the entire engine has to be replaced!!!

I just had the same problem with Bomin chevrolet in miami. They Said timing chain was bad with only 39,000 miles and 1 month past warranty.

3rd generation Chevy owner, sadly done with Chevy the dealerships here are awful. When you cant trust or have confidence in the dealership its time to change brands

Very bad experience

Reliable kept my car for a week to fix a problem that was covered under a special warranty. They broke my key which had nothing wrong with it before it was taken there and I had to pay 60.00 for a new one. The evening that I got my car back the check engine light came on once again. It was another problem covered by the special warranty. I was told they would fix it for 258.00 when it should have been fixed for no charge. I declined repairs because I will get it fixed free of charge.

2017 Chevy Cruz air systems is killing us

We purchased a new 2017 Chevy Cruz. We have had a odor that leaves us with runny eyes burning nose and throat and lungs hurt so bad. Had our car in the shop for the 4th time. Picked it up got less that 30 miles down the road it is not fixed. They claim that corporate told them to put a odor kit on it. Guess what? It is still there. Called Corporate she sent me back to the service dept. Service man said then we will have to replace the evaoirator coil! Why did they not replace it instead of putting a odor shield on it? Now they have to take our car back again after the part comes in because they have to tear the dash out. Why did they not replace it to begin with? We need guidience? Anyone Help? Chevy seems like lets sugar coat it and they will go away. Do we need to hire an attorney? Please help

Dealership very friendly UNTIL $$$ came up

Long story but bottom line - Notified Chevy dealership of a problem covered by warranty just before warranty expired but they would not honor it when mileage was 100 miles over. Blue tooth was not working properly. I thought the problem was that I didn't understand how to use it. Brought the car in when odometer read 35,930 and was told that there was, in fact, a problem with Bluetooth.. I explained to customer service that I could not leave it for servicing until the following week. They did not indicate that that would be a problem. But when I went to make an appointment the following week when the odometer reading was 36,100. they would not honor the Warranty. Will never buy a GM car again - F'em!

LOST PROPULSION 2012 CHEVY VOLT

I have had the same problem. The engineers of the volt seem to know about it and admit its a regular function of the car. This is probably why I can't get the dealership to repair it. It's not a defect or malfunction. This is how the 2012 volt runs. The engine can get up to 149 hp but the generator its connected to can only get the engine (on gas) up to 79hp. Causing the "Lost Propulsion". Here is an article where the engineers admit to this: http://www.automobilemag.com/news/2011-chevy-volt-reduced-power/ copy and paste this to your browser for the article. There is some kind of buffer that needs to be maintained between the gas engine and the generator explaining why I get this problem when I'm not even running on electric. If this buffer requirement isn't met like going up a hill for long time draining this buffer quickly you will get this error. The only way to refill this buffer is by driving 55mph in a 60mph and who really drives the speed limit these days so you will cause traffic... Or pull over for less than a minute and start all over again. Yay!... All this happens to not damage the "pack" I assume this is some part of the car connecting the engine to the battery and generator. I tried mountain mode and it has never helped. You apparently need to kick it on for while before you reach a long hill and it will refill a larger buffer. This has never worked for me. This might not be common to all volt users because if you live in a flat State you will probably never get this problem. The only way to make sure you never get this error again is to get a fully gas vehicle or hope the newer generation hybrid plugins have figure this problem out. I am definitely a Pissed Consumer.

Duramax more like duracrap

My 2012 Duramax fuel pump went out with 80000 miles on it but my warranty went out two months ago the pump contaminates the whole fuel system every injector fuel rails everything replaced 10000$$$$ on a truck not even paid for I went to pick it up today and the shop told me the transfer case was broke no idea how much that will cost yet this is a lemon if I ever saw one don't buy Chevy!!!!!!
