No help from bill seidle of Davie FL

Because everybody's time is valuable I made an appointment to have my car serviced at Bill Seidle of Davie FL, the appointment was for 2:00 PM on 07-15-08. The tag number assigned to my car was 0622 The service man that took my information and car for the 27 point inspection, was not only very rude but bad dressed for a customer service of a renown dealer, he took my car in for the inspection at 2:00 PM, I asked him how long it would take and he said a few minutes to an hour to let me know what repairs the car needed, 2 hours later after taking the car in, nothing had been done to the car, nobody had even look at it, then I told him that the reason I had made the appointment was because I did not want to waste the whole afternoon, he raised his voice and told me that he only had 4 mechanics to work on cars, I asked him again " then why make an appointment ?" he trowed his arm up in the air, at that point I asked for the car back and again he trowed his arms up in the air missing my face by a couple inches, then he came speeding out of the garage so irate that I was afraid he would crash the car, likely it did not happen and I was able to escape out there in time, I would not recomend anybody to go there if you can help it. there were other customer that I talked to in the waiting room and an old man told me that he was there since noon time and at 4:00 PM the car was not ready, all they did was change some brackets in some hoses and charged him $155. This dealer must not be making any money from their service department. Please anyone, send this review to the highest executive in bill seidle corporation so that they stop losing money in that service department, my car has 99000 miles and has an extended warranty that would had paid for the repairs, probably a few thousand dollar worth

Dealership knows theirs a problem, but cant find it.

My 2008 chevy silverado 4x4 has a loud knocking sound when making left hand turns and can be felt from the floor board driver side. the sound comes from the left side front break. The dealer heard the sound and replaced the steering column which of course was not the problem. they tell me they can still here it but have no clue what to look for. I paid $34-k for a new truck that makes knocking sounds that cant be traced but are their. I feel chevy owes me a new truck, it only has 5-k miles on it and I'am a loyal chevy customer that pays in cash.( Help Me).

I'm sorry to hear of your toubles. If you bought this truck new (sounds like you did) you might be eligble for the lemon law.

Your dealership really should want to help you with this, after all, you're going to be buying a new truck!

Read up on your states lemon law. Find out exactly what you must do to qualify.

(Usually it's the same problem 3 times in 30 days not fixed) Contact the dealer and if they put up a wall, contact a lawyer. Good luck!

No help with Lemon Chevy Cobalt Under Warranty

I bought the car new from dealer. I also paid for the extended 100,000 warranty. At the moment - 20K miles are on it. After a few months the "E" brake light (in the dash) came on and wouldn't go off. Dealership couldn't duplicate and that has happened lately. Now for the last 4-5 months it doesn't always start. It just clicks and the radio and all that comes on so I knew it wasn't my battery. I called my fiance at work and he told me to jiggle the shifter (automatic tranny) - I did this and tried it - again and again - after a few minutes it started. This goes on to happen on and off sporadically - I call the dealership - describe the problem and they suggest I take it in. I do and they can't replicate the problem and refuse to look into it any further. I did a little research and discovered this is a common problem several cobalt owners are experiencing - and meeting the same brick wall I am when they attempt to resolve it. I want Chevy to recall the cobalts for what I think is the Neutral Safety Switch inside the shifter - the car doesn't sense that it is in Park and will not start. Obviously it will cost the dealer $$$ to fix the car and I feel they are not holding up their end of the bargain - I am paying for the car, the routine maintenance and insurance and I am paying for the extended warranty. Fix my car GM!!!!

As far as the reply from Mike, dealers are paid for less hours for warranty repairs than the time the repairs usually take to complete, and often at a reduced hourly rate, service contracts pay the same hours and rate as a customer would pay.

your car probably needs a new shifter assembly and ignition lock cylinder. what might be happening is the sensor in the lock cylinder isn't recognizing the key, and maybe the shifter cable isn't positioning the shift interlock correctly.

Dealers actually make some money on warranty repairs (and sometimes even more with extended warranty companies), so cost really isn't an issue for them. The only problem is GM requires complaints to be replicated, which isn't always easy.

The best thing you can do is try to maybe keep notes about the conditions when it occurs, like after the car was running for a while and turned of, or after sitting over night, even something like temperature.

And if Heart Chevrolet really seems like they don't care, take it to a different Chevy dealership, you would be amazed at the differences in service from one dealer to another.

As long as it is under the factory warranty (3 years, 36k miles), they will have no problem working on it. (Unless you purchased GMPP, some aftermarket extended warranty companies don't play well with other dealerships)

Chevrolet silverado

To Whom This May Concern: I had a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. I bought it at 43000 miles at the Chevy dealer in Desoto, TX. They claims at the time of paper work, the vehicle is checkout find and in perfect condition. I got the vehicle home, at the next morning there is a loud vibration noise from the engine. I immediately bring it to the Chevy dealer (Plano, TX) to get it checkout since it is out of Guaranteed. I paid a $100 for the diagnostic fee—they claims that this is a flaw in it design, but the vehicle check out fine. I drove the vehicle for couple of thousands miles then the engine started to leak oil and smell antifreeze. I replace all the hoses new, but the antifreeze smell still there. Shortly later the Air conditioning leak. I got it fix at Chevy dealer, and then the Air Conditioning goes bad again, I got it fix again. Then later, the antifreezer smell turns out to be the heater core. It cost me a $1000 to get it fix (Raymond Chevrolet (Marieta, GA)). At the mean time, they also mess up my vehicle, the windshield noise (leak). Of course, they claim this windshield noise is normal without checking it out or fix it. The next problem is the antifreeze is go empty all the time and my check engine light again comes on. I spend money again at Reliable Chevrolet (Richardson, TX) for diagnostic, they said Coolant and oil mix together and would cost around $1000 to fix it. Again, I paid to get it fix. The engine oil is getting worse. At the dealer where I got my truck repair, Those service engineer got bad attitude toward customer. This is at Reliable Chevrolet, and is worst at Steve Raymond Chevrolet in Marieta, GA. Bought a GM vehicle is my biggest mistake. --- I then file a consumer report, GM again call offer me a $500 that can redeem at the dealer for a new car (at Chevy). Two malibues unstisfactory

We rented a car at the Charleston WV airport after hitting a deer on the nearby interstate on May 25,2008. We paid $187.73 after taxes for a week for a Malibu. After getting home to Reedsville WV, we noticed during the next few days that the transmission was leaking in our garage. We then took the car back to the airport in Morgantown WV six days later on May 31. This is near our home.We rented another Malibu at that time for a period of two weeks The cost was $345.70. It was pouring rain when we picked up the car and in good faith did not inspect it before driving it the 20 miles to our home. The car is damaged on the right front fender., the left wheel rim is severly bent, the AM radio doesn't work, The automatic lock system is inoperatable and the seats are filthy. I took pictures of these apparent issues and intend to return them when we turn the car in on Saturday, June 15, 2008. We did not return the car the second time because the airport is a 20 mile drive and the car is drivable. However, we are paying a substantial amount for a Hertz car and they are most unsatisfactory. The insurance company only pays a small portion of the rental total.I thought that Hertz was a reputable car rental service. I plan on contacting the main company office if necessary.

Ellensburg Chevrolet sold me a real lemon

I the spring of 2006 I purchased a 1990 **** from Ellensburg Chevrolet. It had just had a fresh engine installed. I drove it 3500 miles and it started reading 15 lb oil pressure. Of course I was far from home at a horse show with my niece and a load of horses with me. I took the truck back in to the dealer and sure enough it had 3 lb of oil pressure by that time. I dropped the truck off the 18th of June,2007. They strung me along about replacing the engine. I finally got the truck back Aug. 31 2007. I had to break in the new engine, drove it 500 miles with out the horse trailer. Then put on 420 with the trailer when a rod came knocking. That was the 14 of March 2008. I was stranded 30 miles from home so they came and towed the trailer back home and hauled the truck back to the dealership. I don't remember the exact day in May I got it back but I again had to put 500 miles with out the trailer. So I went for a road trip 250 down and 250 back. Well they had cracked the housing the oil filter screwed in to and I had to stop every 40 miles and put in a quart of oil. unless I was going up hill and the I had to put in 2 quarts every 40 miles. I took it back May 27, 2008 and they can't find the right part, I still do not have the truck back. They said it will be done tomorrow, they are going to try to make the wrong part work with an adaptor. I have no faith in the dealership and no idea when the next problem will raise it's ugly head. The reason I purchased this truck was the new engine story. I travel to horse shows and usually take several children and animals with me. Being stranded on the side of the road is not what I want to do.

Love my chevy cobalt

07 Cobalt is the best car I've ever had. I've had mazda, subaru, hyundai and none can compare. It said 33 mi per gal, I get 35. I hit a deer Thanksgiving day. I thought my Cobalt would be totalled, but not even a dent!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable, best car. I love Cobalts, they ARE COBALT. luvvvvvvvvvv, love, luv, looovvee my Cobalt. Can't say enough good stuff about it. Whoever would have thought I'd buy a Chevy after all my other cars? Not me. But I did and I'm so glad. Don't have alot left to say, but PC says I have to have so many words.

Salesman rips off old man for life's savings

Mall Chrevrolet, Cherry Hill, NJ. 79-year-old alzheimer's candidate leased 2008 impala 4 months ago. Returned yesterday to purchase impala and was told could not. Salesman "convinced" old man to buy $43,000 Malibu instead! Salesman drove client to client's house to withdraw $15K in cash from family safe. He drove old man to the bank to get more cash. he told client he was not "authorized" to drive the car himself so the salesman had to accompany him. Finance manager gave trade-in value on 2008 Impala of $14,000!! And of course, the deal included $2,500 of extended warranties, undercoating, pinstriping, etc.. All the *** that only suckers buy. In the end, Alzeimers candidate spent a full 10-hours at high-pressure dealership and left without any understanding of how poor a "deal" he was given. He acted out of "trust", they treated him like "bait". Rip off company. Stay Away!!

Look I know this thread is old, but if anyone reads down this far, the mumbo jumbo in the GENERIC contract that the car dealer has you sign is not complete. It does not spell out everything. What it really boils down to is either making payments on time, or understanding how a "simple-interest" loan works and that you need to make up for any late payments by paying all late fees ASAP.

McElvery Chevrolet at Lake Martin

Do not use this back woods gold ole' boy dealer for service. They quoted me a price then jacked it up by 1,000.00 when I got the bill. On of the good ole boy sons actually showed up at my house to try to tow my vehicle after his dumb serivce manager had told me they would take payments. The son lied and siad he had a sherriff's deputy in the car but did not produce legal documents that proved it. I can't wait until all the old folks who buy from them die and put them out of business! This is the owrst good ole boy, repair then jack up the price dealer I have ever seen!

Bought a used truck from community chevrolet in burbank CA a little more than a year ago. I re-financed thru my bank and got a better deal. I slowly found out that a dealership truck is never as good as they say. the keyless remote never works,(the battery is fine in the remote) no spare tire underneath. minor electric problems, rear sliding window doesn't lock, license plate lights out, little *** that can get you tickets or a stoeln car and they can't return a phone call or help me out cause they have their money, lousy sharks. beware this dealership

I bought a 2006 Z-06 from community, I love the car, had it for a year. I sold it and got a 2007 Z-06 from a different dealer. Because they do not understand what customer service is...The service manager, totally sucks, he does not do what he says that he'll do...

Everyone there who knows him, agrees.

I take my car to Northridge, much better service, they listen to the customer and do there best to make everyone happy.

Ogden Chevy -Westmont IL profiled me as deadbeat customer

On 12/27/07, I and my friend, Steve, go to Ogden Chevrolet in Westmont, IL to test drive their new 08 Malibu as part of a promotion where they give you a $50 gift card to Ditka's Restaurant just for test driving one of their cars. Well, we go there and are approached by a sales man named Dan. I said that we were both interested in looking at the new 08 Malibu and wanted to test drive one each separately according to the Ditka's promo. He said fine so me and Steve go ahead and test drive the Malibu with Dan, each of us, separately mind you, so we filled the requirement where we both listed to the guy's presentation and drove a vehicle on the open road. Once we finished, we got back to his office and complete the applications for the gift card promo according to the program guidelines. Remember that- I listened to Dan's sales presentation, did the test drive on a new Malibu, took some brochures and filled out the application form the SAME as my friend, Steve, did. NO different right? Well, here's where it gets interesting... For the next 6 weeks through Jan-Feb 08, Steve gets a slew of "Thank You" letters and even phone calls from Dan AND his $50 gift card while ..yep..you guessed it! I GOT NOTHING! Now, my friend Steve, is well off, wealthier than me and living in Darien, IL which is close to this dealership and anyone can run a demographics check to see the median home value there is well over 400K. Well, me on the other hand, I live in a rough and tumble poorer middle class neighborhood farther away in Chicago where well, the median home value is maybe 200K if that. Each of these things can be found by a person's zip code, address etc, it's called demographics data and what underhanded dealerships/stores use to selectively pick and choose what customers they believe can afford a car and make the payments based on where they live, zip code, etc similar to how insurance companies set your rates by where you live, how much crime is in that area, etc. Anyway, you get the picture... Well, I did not get any sort of follow up calls or my card so I got pissed bad and called the dealership on 2/9/08 and complained to their sales manager, Mark. He listened to my story even though I could tell he was running out of patience with my call. When I asked the question on why my friend, Steve, got follow up calls and the gift card after the test drive and I did not, Mark could not give me a straight answer. Instead, all I got was a condescending and pompous attitude like you are not worth my time and leave me alone. He said he was sorry for what happened and when I brought up the selective profiling issue he got angry and said none of his staff would do such an underhanded sales practice. He "promised" me my $50 Ditka's gift card as "compensation" for my troubles and aggravations amd that I would receive it shortly. Well, it's now 2/26/08 and yep..you guessed it again! Still NO card and guess what! Still NOT even a freakin' "I'm Sorry" follow up call or card in the mail. Kinda makes you wonder how when you are walking into a dealership/store that it's really you that the dirty sales man is "sizing up" for a potential sale and their "sales team" picks who they want to help based on demographic data you fill out once you're there! I don't expect any compensation for my aggravations at Ogden Chevrolet. Just my 2 cents worth to rant about how poorly I was treated and yeah, prejudged. PS- I would up buying a new 08 Toyota Camry this weekend when my sister cosigned the loan on the 5 yr lease (she owns her own company). Kinda surpising for a "poor middle class dude" from a bad Chicago neighborhood, huh? Signed... Joe

maybe they just wanted a free meal, but they didn't put out the phoney offer, now did they. I personally don't fall for that garbage, but if the offer is out there, it is put out there for the purpose of attracting people...

da, this all just lets prospective buyer like me know what kind of dealership they are.

And, I AM looking for a new chevy Avalanche, but now I am not going to go there, they may not like the way I look or dress and not give me the respect I deserve as a buyer. I buy a new chevy every year and think they should be kissing the customers feet for the business these day.

It sounds like even the best laid plans can go astray.

Perhaps the car salesman thought it was payback time for 2 people that were really only interested in scamming the dealership out of 2 free meals.

Those that offer those type of promotions(such as time-share promoters) are well aware of the type of people that only respond for the supposed freebies, so I guess they feel what goes around,comes around.

Kind of ironic, isn't it?

1998 Chevrolet Venture

I have a 1998 Chevrolet Venture van and the lower intake manifold gasket has went out 4 times, it only has 126,000 miles on it. I have heard that the 3.4 liter engine has been notorious for this problem. I don't think 4 times on an engine with that many miles on it is normal by any means. I think I am entitled to some compensation for a problem that obviously is out of the ordinary. Where does one go to file a grievance for this type of problem? Is asking for compensation legitimate? General Motors knows that this has been a problem so I think it is legitimate.

Shoddy and deceptive repairs

To: Edward Peper, Jr, General Manager Re: Bill Seidle Chevrolet, Clermont Florida Jan 8, 2007 I went to the internet for Bill Seidle and found that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with the work or lying ways of the employees. A $400 plus repair job cost me $1704.95. I was charged for parts never installed, billed for a core charge and when I requested the old parts, was told it would cost me $25 more. Never received all of the replaced parts, so don't know if they were replaced in whole or piece meal. The U-joint was dropped and I was charged for a new one but the pictures prove it was never replaced. Was told they replaced one of the four caps on it and charged for a new one. The starter worked fine until the day I picked the car up and was told the starter was shot. They had put 3 miles on the truck during the week they had it and it started fine ever time I was there. I say they broke the post off the starter solenoid buy using the super charger to turn the engine over. They said they never replace just a solenoid, only the whole thing. First day was told over the phone, the battery was shot and it needed new tires. I went and retrieved the almost new battery and took it to the place I bought it and it checked out perfect and is still doing fine. The tire have 3/16 tread over the wear bars. I went back and asked for the U-Joint I paid for or my money back and was told they would not talk about me or my truck anymore I could go on and on about the shady dealings and evasive and self protecting answers. 2000 silverado manifold bolts

I have owned several silverados and every one has had to have manifold bolts replaced, bolts $3.00 dollars labor over $400 and now my driverside manifold rear bolt has broke always the rear. Cheap grade bolts Gm i have a old chevy them bolts i can remove and put back in, your newer models must be made for job security to keep parts & your mechanics working.I owened a Jeff Gordon Monte, S-10, GMC Youkon, several silverados I will never by another GM product your stuff is made of cheap materials and cost more to maintain so why buy them.Also your dealer said he would fix it but did not get me in till the warranty expired.Guess who has to pay.

Can't see dash board on Cobalt

I bought a 2008 Cobalt and when you are driving you can't see the dash board.even with the lights on the only time is at night so you are driving around guessing your speed or see how much gas in in the car there is no way of seeing it only when driving at night I would reamend putting the panel with a white back ground. Or maybe put better lighting so when you turn your lights on you can see the dash board, Thank you for listing my complaint Yours truly Cobalt owner. If I had to do it over I would never had bought this car
