Inoperable key bob

I own a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. The c,ar is not even 10 years old, its paid for, and I have had to change the remotes about 4 times. I'm an avid lover of Chevrolet and I find this very disturbing. Today I had to pay $147 for one remote, the same thing happened in August of 2012, and before that in 2010, the problem I have is, now I only have one remote, not that I wanted to pay $270 or more for a remote, but the car came with 2 remotes! I think this is terrible business practice, and why do I need to pay for something I need to use in order to enter my car safely and quickly, I believe that Chevrolet owes me a remote without cost to me.

Mylink is really NOLINK

Purchase 13 Sonic LTZ $19k Most in part mylink will have in dash GPS. Once the app was available it was not compatible with my $400 Samsung Galaxy 3s. Chevy said to bad, it's not there fault. So now I have a touch screen radio and a GPS stuck to my windshield. What really bothers me is there lack of saying we are working with the Korean company to fix this. On top of that my family has (2)SSR's (1) 11 Camaro (1) Silverado any the 13 Sonic in the drive way. We are a 200k dollar advertisement that is now going to be another company that cares if there product functions for you.

purchased 2014 silverado, only to find days later-no navigation! oh you want that, it will cost 1700 more!!

went to "my link" website. every picture shows weather icon but when i had online chat I was told you don't have that available because you don't have navigation. car salesman @ priority chevrolet in Chesapeake Virginia say there is three level of radio(?) have to get my link WITH NAVIGATION. the average person, including self, is not aware of this.

everything you see during purchase shows a nice 3d map on screen, so person assumes that if you have big 8" screen you have this feature. to further confuse the consumer they talk to you about on star navigation. you find out later this is just voice with a simple little arrow that points in the direction. you sure don't need an 8" screen for this.

have purchased 2 new chevy trucks in last 3 years, now I'm disappointed and feel duped. i don't feel chevy is being up front and honest.

this feels like FALSE ADVERTIZING. time to look @ toyota, ram or ford!!!

Why is it GM's problem your phone won't work with it? You say you're out $19000+ dollars because your $400 phone won't work with it? Buy a new phone dummy!

As I begin to read about the different stories in regards to this issue and its a very dangerous stituation and the only way the problem can be fix is to take the car into a chevy dealer. I feel that chevy should re-call this vechile or customers should not be charged for this problem

2 Key fobs fail under 42k miles

The electronic key fobs to unlock & lock my 2008 HHR have failed with less than 42,000 miles, wich averages out to 21,000 miles per fob (my 2003 F-150 Ford key fobs are still working after 10 years). To replace one key fob was $195.00. This is outrageous! Also, one of the manual keys no longer works! I will not buy another Chevy! Cutter Chevrolet in Honolulu have great personnel, but are unable or unwilling to correct this because it is past the warranty period. I just want to alert the public regarding this defective product & system. JP

Rod Mitchell

On 2/18/13, my wife took her vehicle into Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie for repair service. The check engine light was on and the vehicle was running sluggishly. An engine diagnosis found that the gas pedal sensor was faulty. What has me perturbed is the final bill ($430.55). A sensor, not the gas pedal, which retails for $78.10 was replaced. The replacement cost was $145.43 for the part, $242.98 for labor, and $31.66 misc fees. This doesn’t feel right. The amount rendered doesn’t equal the service. If this is Chevrolet’s standard pratice, than they have lost us as customers for the life of this vehicle?

2006 Chevy Equinox

I've purchased a used 2006 Chevy equinox in 2009 in the 3 years that I've had the vehicle I've had nothing but problem after problem just recently a blown head gasket. This vehicle has been the biggest nightmare ive ever had to deal with. If I tallied up how much money and how many times its been in the shop I can literally purchase a small home. This vehicle should have been taken off the market it's like Chevy just took every cheap part ever made and threw it in this vehicle. They dhould be ashamed of themselves for even putting this car into production. It's literally financially ruined me on top of having to worry something is going to happen even leaving my house to go to the corner store for milk. I'm so disgusted and wish there was something I can do but I have no options. Chevy basically robbed me and after dealing with these non stop problems I'm going out of my way to make sure anyone I know would never even think about buying a Chevy in their lifetime. The company should be ashamed of themselves for ruining an American based auto company. No wonder why so many people are buying Japanese these days at least they offer crazy warranties to cover problems like this if they ever occur. I hope somehow this reaches someone that actuallyatters concerning these problems. Sincerely, an extremely pissed off and now financially ruined Chevy owner.

GM-2011 Chevy Tahoe

My husband and I bought a 2011 Chevy Tahoe for which we traded a Honda Pilot. We should have known we were in trouble when we test drove a 2012 and signed paperwork for our vehicle that was going to be delivered the next morning. We got a call from the dealership who said, On, my there was a mix up that vehicle you just bought was sold. Really after 24 hours....so then they tell us the package we wanted they couldn't find. Long story short we had to re-pick our vehicle. Then after 30 days of driving it, I get a call from my bank saying "Are you making your payment from last month". Surprised, I said "What, I traded in my vehicle". The dealership never paid off my Honda. Well, this leads me to my new problem of my clunking noise when my Tahoe attempts to shift gears. I have taken it to the dealership several times. They tired telling me we hear the clunk, don't know what it is but it is normal. Really? So it is getting worse in stop and go traffic. They then reflashed the transmission module and that didn't fix it. I filed a complaint with GM, who was really nice and took my information then they asigned an advocate who didn't care and won't return my calls nor will her supervisor. Oh and the best is when you call and ask for the supervisor the won't tell you who it is, the filter the message through the advocate. This is really messed up. Why do they have a complaint department????

Denied return of vecicle under Chevy's Love it or Return it gaurntee

On 08/22/12 I went to Wiesner Chevrolet in Huntsville Texas and made a deal with the salesman Mr. Wiggins for the purchase of a volt. He told me $ 37943.08. And that I would get .9 % finance. He wrote it down on a piece of paper and gave it to me. I told him i would purchase it at that price. I returned later that evening and went in and was directed to the finance Guy. He told me that he was unable to get me the .9% finance but if I purchased Gap Insurance and extended warranty he would call them and would probably be able to get me the .9 % rate. I declined his offer and told him I would leave. He then stated he would go ahead and get me the .9% finance. He showed me the numbers on the contract and I told him the price on the sale of the Volt was $38443.08 and the agreed price was $37994.08. He told me there was a dealer assigned rebate of $500 that was added in and then taken off which makes the price you pay $37.994.08. I calculated the numbers in my head as best I could and it appeared to be that I was paying $37994.00. So I signed the contract and the other papers. One of the papers was a single sheet and he pointed to the top with his pen and said this is just summary of the sale. It just has the model, Year and VIN number and he X out the blanks. And I signed it thinking that was all it was. After I got home and looked closer at the contract I discover that he had added in $598.00 and listed it as aftermarket. There was never anything said about aftermarket. I did not look close enough at the paperwork and new I had just got taken $ 598.00. After driving the Volt for over 31 days I decided I wanted to return it because it was not as efficient and economical is I had thought. I called Chevy Love it or Return It program on 9-24-12 and was told by them I was not eligible because I took a $500 rebate. On 9-25-12 I returned to Wiesner and talked to the salesman Mr. Wiggins. I showed him the handwritten paper that he gave me that showed the price we agreed was $37943.08 and he stated yes that was the price. I asked him about the rebate and he did not know what I was taking about. I spoke the manager Mr. Bennett and he told me that I was not eligible for the Love it or leave it because I took the $500.00 rebate. I told him I did not take a rebate. I told him what the finance guy did. He stated that was correct. The $ 500 was added on and then taken off so I got the rebate so you cannot return the car. I told him I intend to pursue this matter and was not just going to let it go away. He told me he had a document signed by me where I had opted out of the program. I told him that I did not and there was nothing like that in the paperwork given to me. He said I will get you a copy. He returned with a three page copy. The first two pages I had never seen before. The third page was the page titled Summary of sale that I had signed. He said is that your signature. I said yes. He said then you opted out of the program. The second page had a list of check boxes and two were checked. They were not checked by me nor initial by me or any one. Those boxes checked was opting out of the love or leave it program. I did not receive a rebate. I followed all of the terms and conditions to the letter. I have read the terms and conditions over and over. At no time during the sales process was there ever a mentioned of a rebate. The finance guy is the only person and he stated it was a dealer assigned rebate. I never asked for a rebate, nor did I receive one. I did not opt out of the program. I should be allowed to return the car. I sent this letter along with copies of the above described documents to GM and they received it on 10-1-12. On 10-4-12 Elisa from GM told me I was denied my return of volt because I receive the rebate and opted out. I told her there were some shenanigans going on and I was not just going to let this go. She told me she would send in on up to her supervisor and I would hear from him. Have not received an answer yet as of 10-7-12. Danny Coleman

Chevrolet cheaply built

I HAVE A 2011 SILVERADO .. THIS WILL BE THE 3RD ARMREST / DOOR PANEL I WILL HAVE REPLACED. yes its warranty but a real pain in the butt.. with the slightest amount of pressre from your elbow the plastic under the rubber cushion of the arm rest cracks..thus creating a soft spot.. this alone is enuff to *** you off but then they have to replace the entire door panel to fix it !! and we wonder why insurance rates are so high. AS i was told by the dealership they don't make them they just repair them so i cant vent at them and they've been great about replacing it.. sure they get paid..and the prices continue to rice...Done with Chevrolet.

you're not alone i bought a 2012 silverado with the same problem.they replaced it once and within a week it was broke again but this time they said it was owner neglect and refused to fix it,called the 800 number and they blew some smoke and still refused to fix it.so you can bet my next purchase will not be anything with the gm brand on it.
