Chevrolet HHR door handle Failure

It is time that Chevrolet HHR owners file a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration http://www.nhtsa.gov/ in regards to the failure of the interior door handle in the HHR. This is a safety issue in that it can cause undue panic to the occupant of the vehicle in the event of an emergency resulting in further injury to the occupant or occupants of the vehicle. If a recall can be made for the storage door on the dash see complaint, NHTSA ID# 08V444000. According to the report this 'OCCUPANT PROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACT." THE DOOR ON THE STORAGE BIN IN THE TOP CENTER OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO REMAIN CLOSED AS REQUIRED. This did not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehilce Safety Standard No. 201, "Occupant Protection In Interior Impact." this information is directly from the NHTSA web site.

Raymond Chevrolet lies

I shopped at Raymond Chevrolet today and they lied about the price of a Chevrolet Malibu. They said the car was new and it was used. I told them I shopped around and I was told that that price was a lie. Well it was a lie, it was used. It had almost 6000 miles. I went back to Ray Chevrolet, because they told me that Raymond Chevrolet would lie to me. Ray Chevrolet told me that Raymond Chevrolet would try to get me to pay additional fees and they did. Thank you Matt for all your help. I love Ray Chevrolet. Don't trust Raymond Chevrolet lied.

First, likely a "new" vehicle with 6,000 miles is a demonstrator vehicle and has not been titled, therefore it is not a used vehicle. It IS a new vehicle.Second, I work for both Raymond Chevrolet and Ray Chevrolet and would like to know who lied to you and who at Ray said that Raymond lied to you as we do not make it a practice to bad mouth the other store. Misrepresented facts/ False advertisement/ Bait and switch

I downloaded an advertisement from Henderson Chevrolet(Henderson, Nevada), stating that they had a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo/LS on property(VIN# KL1TD56608B279581)for around$9,900. I called the dealership and spoke to JUDD, who assured me that the vehicle was there, and that I should come in and look at it. I arrived one (1) hour latter only to find that "magically..somehow" the vehicle wasn't there??? And the two(2) salesman started to tag team me into a much more expensive vehicle stating" it was a better value, in my case"??? I will admit my credit is sad, but there was no reason to LIE about the vehicle being there!! If he would have been honest, I probablly would have went anyway to see if they could help me. Just then as I was driving home, the finance manager called to ask what the problem was?? I explained and then...YOU GUESSED IT, "magically...somehow" the vehicle was there again??? They should give Lance Burton tips on how to make cars disappear and reappear again!!! Anyway I just wanted to know if ANYONE has had a similar experience With HENDERSON CHEVROLET in Nevada, as I am thinking about looking into some type of legal, or ethics investigation.

Every battery that has a warranty has a specified time for free replacement/recharge, this eventually leads to a prorated charge for replacement.

Was told that brake pads were replace and they weren't

I have a 2005 Chevy Cavalier. Took it in at the end of April for a semi-annual as we were going on a trip the next day and wanted to make sure the car was alright. Got a call saying that I needed $1700 in repairs. This inclued having the front and rear brakes done. Brakes started squealing last week. Took the back tires off and they didn't even do the back brakes but charged me for it! The pads are 1/8"! How many other things did they lie about doing? When they told me that the brakes needed to be done, they made it sound like my car was dangerous to drive if I didn't replace the brakes right away...then they didn't even replace them.

Take the billing receipt to a dealer and see what happens.

Then again, most of the stories here are intended to manipulate $$$ out of someone.

Thats why they rarely mention the company, cause their documentation is non-existent.

Their check BOUNCED!!!

I recently traded in and bought a car from this business.  They made me wait three weeks for a $7,700 check for my trade-in, and when I finally got it, IT BOUNCED!!!  They originally told me to wait to get the bounced check back and "try" depositing it again - unbelievable.  I had to pull teeth and threaten them with criminal and civil legal action to get a cashier's check so I could pull my bank account back out of the red.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.  Their financial system is terrible, and the owner (who is allegedly the one person who can authorize payments) is never there, doesn't answer the phone, and doesn't return emails (even to his own employees).  Awful experience.

Chevy Camaro

I recently purchased a 2010 Chevy camaro from Cerrone's GM in attleboro MA. The car had 21 miles when I bought it. When I picked it up,I was very displeased to find that it had barely been cleaned. I understand cars get dirty sitting in the lot but it shouldnt be that hard to clean it for the customer who just shelled out $38,000. Then I noticed that the Chevrolet logo from the inside of the drivers side door was peeling off. Again probably not that important but I had the car for 1 day. So I brought it back, they said they would order the new piece for inside the door, but they couldn't do anything about the lack of detailing because "they know I will never be happy". Did I mention that the gas station they brought the car to in the first place for "detailing" put a sticker on the inside of my brand new car. So next I found that the I pod dock didnt work. After telling me that it was my fault and I probably have an old Ipod(it is about two months old ). They finally admitted that they actaully didnt know how to fix it. Now for the good one. I noticed that at all the corners where my fender meets the bumper the paint was chipping. Again this is all within the first month of owning the car. Also I don't ever drive it in the rain. So i brought it back again. The dealership told me this is a spacing problem they will put in clips and fix the paint. I don't know how you fix paint on a brand new car but I gave them a shot. When I pick it up the paint looked like something a 4 year old smeared on. It was runny and actually had drip marks that you could feel and see. So they kept it to try again. Next day the paint actaully looks worse. Now they have added greasy fingerprints to the area around the "touch up paint". It is a small area but it is a brand new car and paint problems only get worse as you own the car. I don't feel that I should have to start off with a *** paint job. The dealership service has been awful they never even offered an apology. I have been in contact with Cevy and they have been equally apathetic.

Westside Chevrolet in Katy Texas

Called Westside for a truck. Was on my way there but would not make it in time before the palced closed. I called the sales person and he said that was fine that we could do it Sunday since they are closed on Saturday. I asked are you sure I dont want to lose this truck he said I am sure the keys are in my desk and we are closed on Saturday so no one will sell the truck. I had my bank approval for a truck. Was driving 3 1/2 hours to dealership to sign paperwork. When I got there I was told the truck was sold and that I had no signed contract....I was driving to get there!!!!! It was sold by a sister KIA dearlership next door that is open on Saturday. Part of their mission state is "Management will have consistent policies and procedures to ensure our trusted reputation in the community." Trust, consistent policies I dont think so more like sale sale sale and dont care if someone else is on their way.

Chevy Traverse Stinks when Radio is playing

When playing the radio in my 2010 Chevy Traverse the entire interior is engulfed in stink. It burns your eyes and nose to the point that you must roll the windows down to air the vehicle out. I'm afraid it is bad for my health. Seems to be coming from the playing of the radio since we do not notice it unless the unit is on. I talked with a representative at the dealer in Tampa, Florida, whom said they would get back to me but haven't heard from her. I did search the Internet and found I am not alone. Seems several individuals have had the same experience, some of which haven't pin pointed where the stench is coming from. I'm not positive either but seems to be coming from the act of playing music. Any one else experienceing this situation and wgat to do about it.

Unsafe condition still exists after recall repair

My 2000 Chevrolet Corvette had a so-called repair performed per recall in 2004. The recall was for the possibility that the steering column would lock, even while driving. Chevrolet installed some wiring harness and reprogrammed the PCM. In 2010 the steering column locked, fortunately not while driving. I had to have the vehicle towed and was charged $874.23 to have this repaired. Chevrolet refuses to acknowledge that the so-called repair per recall in 2004 was ineffective and additionally refuses to pay for the repair in 2010. I was offered a $1000 loyalty certificate for when I purchase another Chevrolet product. Like that's going to happen!

The heater fan in my 2007 Chevy Silverado Crew cab quit funtioning on the 1, 2, 3, & 4 setting. My brother has the same exact truck and his did the same thing, only difference is he cannot use the 4 & 5 setting - he said he smelled electrical burning before the fan...

i have replaced the control unit, the resister unit and the blower on my 02. it has gone out again and just before it dose it smells burnt electrical? need to do a recall on this issue.

This so called reputable car dealership will not even contact me after they sold me what the Used Car Manager Lance Sanders called a "LEMON". If someone pays $14,000.00 on a 2006 Jeep Liberty and it blows a head gasket because some mechanic forgot to take his socket out of the motor I think the dealership should be responsible. Instead Mr. Sanders told us, "You bought a lemon, and there is nothing I can or will do about it". I guess I should have bought the extended warranty but I figured when you pay that much on a 3 or 4 year old vehicle you shouldn't have any worries.

Gave away my vehicle!

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: My truck was at the Chevy dealership having warranty work and I was glad to hear that Enterprise would pick me up that afternoon to set up my rental. The lady from Enterprise arrived on time in a truck similar to my own and drove my son and I to the Enterprise office. However, the truck had just been returned and still needed to be cleaned, so she told me to go inside and they'd call for me in about 30 minutes. It was busy inside, so I sat with my 3 year old son in the far corner of the waiting area so he wouldn't be a bother to the other customers and I wouldn't worry about him being in the way of the opening door. 40 minutes pass and still nobody calls for me to sign for the truck. Honestly, none of the workers even acknowledged I was there trying to keep my 3 year old occupied all this time! When I go up to the counter and ask when my truck will be ready, I'd been waiting a long time, the lady runs off... Turns out, she'd given my truck to another customer 20 minutes before, with my son's car seat still inside! I had to wait nearly another HOUR for the other customer to return with my car seat and luckily they had another truck to give me! My child was hungry (seeing that I arrived at Enterprise at 5 p.m. and had planned to go directly back home to feed him dinner) and I was very frustrated that something so seemingly "easy" had taken my entire evening. I have a professional career and raise a small child; the time I have with my son is precious and shouldn't be wasted due to the stupidity of people with the simple job of checking in and out rental cars! As, I'm sure the other customer was not very pleased when she was called and told to return to Enterprise right away! I was patient and kind at Enterprise; I have a young child to set an example of manners for and causing a scene wouldn't have made my son's car seat magically appear, but I hope that something is done to reprimand the terrible service that I was given today!

DONT GET BE STARTED, I UNDERSTAND THEIR CONCERN, INTERPRISE AND CHEVY DONT COMMUNICATE WELL WITH CUSTOMERS IN THEIR INTEREST. I LEFT MY RENTER CAR WITH A CHEVY DEALERSHIP ON FRIDAY AND CALL INTERPRISE TO PICKUP THE RENTER. INTERPRISE DIDNT PU THE RENTER UNTIL MONDAY AND CAUSED A WITHDRAWAL OF 2 DAYS OF CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD.

2010 Chevy Mailbu Breakdown

My 2010 Chevy Mailbu was intermittently losing acceleration power. It did it 7 times...to the point where I had to pull off the road in heavy traffic. The dealer (Lewes Auto Mall in Lewes DE) said they could not find anything wrong. The very next day I broke down in heavy Memorial holiday traffic. It took the dealer one entire week to figure out what was wrong and fix the car. I just got it back and am very leery of this vehicle. The dealership was so blase about the whole incident. They seem to fail to recognize that it is upsetting to break down in a new vehicle. Plus what is going on with GM anyway that a 2010 breaks down?
