My wife purchased 2011 Chevy HHR 2LT. There was nothing but numerous problems with that vehicle: a rotten egg smell in the interior lingered- was at the dealership many of times for it, always came out with "no problem found". Finally, after 8th visit the catalytic converter was replaced...why so many aggregations? Noise coming from the engine upon cold start up- still not fixed, after many complaints! Ignition key getting stuck in the start position, thus not disengage the starter...still going on, even after G.M big recall and many complaints.... A part consistently failing, while under the warranty, 5 replacements later(a LEMON !), G.M. is saying that it's on me to pay for another replacement, because they replaced it 5 times! But it is still under their 12 months/12,000mi warranty! They don't care, was told- "time to spend of pocket money on it". And we have, bought their extended warranty as well ! Truly, acting like government, GOVERNMENT MOTORS that is! Customer service using phony excuses not to fix an obvious PRODUCTION DEFECT PROBLEM and playing phone games....Shame on you GM! I wonder if Mary Barra is kept in the dark or what? Is she even reading the customer's concerns, does she even care? We'd NEVER buy another GM product and will discourage every one from buying as well.

I have to say my new 2015 Colorado is the worst driving vehicle I have every owned. It seems like it cannot decide what gear to be in while driving in Atlanta traffic. I have taken it to two different dealers and both say ‘that is the way it works’. Do not get one of these trunks. If you spend any time in slow and go traffic you will be sorry. Just seems like a bad design. I was hoping for better. After all, it was trunk of the year?

Hi I’m calling for help to anyone who willing to help me. The dealer (key Pinetown) done something wrong with the vehicle they messed up the service and GMSA is aware they didn’t do anything about it beside to tell me that they will speak with the dealer management. The car on service book is sitting on 30 000 KM waiting for 45 000 KM service but according to odometer the car is in 52 000 KM that means it skip the service for 45 000 KM. I did report this to GMSA what did they do nothing they told me the dealer will call me to book a car for the service even now I’m still waiting. The car is flashing the warning light now that means there is a problem with the car what should I do since dealer(key Pinetown) and GMSA knows about this but they are not helping me at all. The carelessness and not caring of key Pinetown is costing me lot of stress but GMSA always put a blame on me. After this complain that is when I’m going to get attention I hope this is how they work. I think I have to wait till the car is fully damaged so that I will have to pay GMSA is aware and they are not doing anything about this I’m scared even to drive the car now but everyone is ware of the problem Answers: 1. How long should I wait for the call to bring the car for the service? 2. I want to know what you are going to do about this mess you done in car by making a mistake of skipping a service. 3. What was the steps taken about the negligence of key Pinetown? This was the last email I got from Thibe Pooe if you look into Answer of question 3a , b and c you and understand the situation I’m in right you will see this people they don’t value their customer at all and GMSA is aware but they down do anything beside to conclude for you and if you not satisfied they shut you down. Good day Mr. Ngubane, Question 1 & 2: • The correct information is that the discussion happened physically at the dealership and should the footage be made available after the necessary legal process has been followed – we would still be unable to confirm the outcome of the conversation since there’s no audio on CCTV footage. Question 3a: • We take note of the human error made by our dealer and we will ensure that internal measures are put in place to avoid such from re-occurring. However with this said, we cannot hold the dealership entirely responsible for the error in mileage as the vehicle has a manual setting to have the mileage changed and this could have been done mistakenly by any party. Question 3b & c: • I was highlighting the next service interval which was 45 000kms. We are aware that your vehicle has already been serviced successfully. The conversion from miles to km’s will not affect your warranty in any way. The matter was discussed with our Regional Manager, Mr. Lloyd Appanna who advised that even though the vehicle is currently on 50 000km GMSA will still honour is warranty obligations if the vehicle is serviced immediately. The dealership will document that the service was done late due to the mileage being recorded in miles and not kilometres. Please note that if the vehicle is not serviced immediately then you do face the risk of the warranty being fully void. We will request the dealership to be in contact with your service plan administrator to clarify any misunderstanding that may arise. Question 4: • We as General Motors SA are required by law to comply with the South African Bureau of Standards and ensure we therefore we will not be selling vehicles that do not meet the regulated standards. Furthermore, we would like to point out that we sell our new vehicles with a 5 year / 120 000 km warranty and free 5 year / 120 000km roadside assistance Driver Support Plan. The warranty is intended to protect the vehicle owner against unforeseen costs related to any premature component or product failure that may occur excluding wear and tear items as per the terms and conditions of our New Vehicle Warranty. We sell vehicles with a warranty for this very reason, that we cannot guarantee that our customers will never experience any component failures, taking into consideration that our motor vehicles are manufactured with 5000 plus components. In such circumstances, we will replace or repair the component and not replace the vehicle (e.g. a R35 000 gearbox will be repaired or replaced, but not the R330 000 vehicle). In addition, every vehicle and concern is fully investigated and repaired based on its individual merit and concern. Should you still be dissatisfied with our above responses to your questions. Please seek alternative dispute resolution by contacting the Motor Industry Ombudsman. No further communication will be received from us regarding this particular matter. Have 2008 Chev. HHR wagon. Part of ignition recall 2014. Vehicle stalls on freeway at 75mph. Atleast 6 incidences of near death. 4 garage visits, noone can diagnose problem, until the recall. Finally had ignition fixed and problem was ok until today. My daughter driving to work today had Semi-truck swerve off road to avoid rear ending her. Call to Chevrolet today says owner problem. Not theirs. No recall at this time. Why not just say, go ahead and die on the freeway as your car loses all power and no power steering to get off highway and avoid death. Thanks GM No dealership will touch the car for a tradein because of the safety concerns. What do I do with the car GM? Let you children drive it? Knowing they could die on the freeway today?

After many years of pain and aggravation with my chevy trailblazer vehicle, I’ve finally had enough. What follows will be a weekly blog that outlines my various problems and trials with my chevy trailblazer. Thank you to pissedconsumer for allowing me this forum to discuss my frustrations, and, alert you all to the reasons why you SHOULD NOT purchase or lease a chevy vehicle. The latest episode. ============== Over the past week I have noticed that my left rear tire has a slow leak. I add air to it, and one day later it starting to look low. After two days it is really low, and I must add air before driving anywhere. I’ve been stopping at a gas-station every day to add air to the tire. My proposed solution - Change the tie and put on the full-size spare. Then take the leaky tire to the tire store and have them fix it. Easy, right. On the weekend I tried to change the tire, to swap the spare onto the left rear of the car and take the leaky tire to be fixed. However, to get the spare tire out you have to connect the jack handle to the spare tire cable winch system, and winch down (lower) the spare tire down to the ground, remove center holder mechanism from the center of the rim. So I wound the spare tire cable winch down to release and lower spare tire. The winch cable released and wound all the way down. However, the spare tire stayed latched to the underside of the car. The spare tire would swivel and move around, but it would not release and come down, even though the cable was all the way down. OMG what a mess. Total mess I can’t even change my own spare tire. Now I’m up for a bunch of time and labor just to change my own spare tire. MAJOR FAIL - gm. Thanks for reading. I have a GMC Terrain that i purchased in April of this year. Two weeks after i got it i had to take it back because there was no oil in it. It is now November and I'm still having the same problem after taking it back to the dealer 4 times. The first time the mechanic said they rebuilt the engine. But when i took it back 2 weeks later the story changed. I will Never buy another GMC again.

2013 chevy Silverado 2500..12000 miles driver seat worn ..rear bumper clips broken..window switch broke..glove box broke..rear brakes replaced ..paint job blows...1st owner...only driven on weekends...dissatisfied!!!!!

I start having bad experience with Chevrolet regarding my 2015 Chevrolet Traverse

Chevy Malibu 2012 back seat which is very rarly sat in was coming apart at the seam. Fortunately I was still within the bumper to bumper coverage. The back seat was replaced hassell free. However now that I am no longer under the bumper to bumper my driver seat upper left side has coming apart at the seam. I have leather seats. Wrote Corp Chevy they assign a case Manager from another state who got in contact with my dealer to inspect. Where I am now a month and half later a District Manager from Corp travels to each dealer to review cases. Cost is about $700 to fix Chevy is offering to fix and I would have to pay $200. This is a known defect of the seats being poorly sewn. I should not have any out of pocket expesnse. I do love my Chevy but would think twice before buying another or advising other to, very sad to say!

One of our two 2014 Silverado pickups with 6.0 gas engine spun a ros bearing at 27000 miles and ruined engine. without removing a single bolt to see what caused the failure, Chevrolet declined the warranty because we did the oil changes ourselves. We paid $8,400 to get a new engine installed at an independent shop. After 49 years of GM loyalty, I will never buy another one. The ruined engine turned out to have just one bad bearing and the shop owner said his opinion was that the bearing was defective. We are about to submit to BBB arbitration to see if we can get any help. The two new Silverados cast 45k each. The second one has had no problems and our oldest one of 5 has over 240k miles.

My fathers 2008 Chevy Avalanche has 55000 miles on it. I drove it this summer and noticed many things wrong with it. Most noticeably were the interior doors handles where the chrome was peeling, leaving sharp pieces of metal to cut your handles when you entered or exited the vehicle. My sister (on chemo) & my father ( on blood thinners) said while the car had been in the shop many times the door handles were not under warranty. I contacted Chevrolet customer service who referred me back to the local service agency, Dennis Hanks Chevrolet, Ozark MO. Again my father was told they would fix it for $200 per handle plus labor. The manager told my sister, who questioned the failing materials used, that they couldn't use steel because it would cause the gas mileage to go up ( like someone driving a Chevrolet cares about that). My family stated the manager and service department treated them rudely and condescending. I again spoke to customer service who again blew me off. By the way. The engine on this car appears to be going so I've advised my family to cut their losses, put a lemon on the car and buy anything but an American car. Sad but true!

Melbourne, FL Rosner Chevrolet refuses to give me the name of their insurance company when my car was damaged on their property. I'm calling my lawyer & the news media.
