Chevrolet Pulls Rug Out From Under Buyers

Yesterday afternoon I approved a deal on a new 2016 SS at Young Chevrolet in Dallas TX. The deal included 20% off MSRP from Chevy. Today I show up to sign the finance paperwork & pick up the car and the Sales Manager tells me Chevrolet issued a Do Not Deliver order on all SS vehicles because of some problem with a seat belt cable. Part availability ... who knows when? But he cannot sell the vehicle until the parts are made available and installed. He shows me the e-mail, dated today at 11:10 a.m. I'm standing there, looking at my dream car literally just outside the window while he's telling me this. I have financing in hand from my lender and a signed deal sheet, but Chevrolet won't allow him to sell me the car. Then he tells me the 20% off expires 7/8/16 (tomorrow) and after that I will probably miss out on the 20% off unless Chevrolet makes an exception. Well Chevrolet, are you going to extend the offer? I'm here. Right now, wanting to take delivery .... Chevrolet?

I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze after having car a few weeks started getting a terrible fume smell when using AC. I have to roll down the windows and turn AC off, 2 times I had to get out of car and got sick. Took to dealership who agreed they smelled the fumes but couldn't figure out where it was coming from so there was nothing they could do. Called Chevy directly who after a month told me the district manager "Bob" for my area said it is normal to have that do to condensation and water building up on who knows what and that after running the AC it will go away. My car is under warranty have only made two payments and they want me to just deal with it. Wonder if if was them or "Bobs" wife and children having to smell these fumes if he would tell them to just deal with it. I traded in a Chevy Impala to get this car but will never buy from Chevy again and will make sure anyone who will listen will know what I'm dealing with and how Chevy treats their customers and doesn't follow thru with fixing a problem when car is still under warranty. JUST DEAL WITH IT NOTHING WE CAN DO THANKS ROCHELLE FOR NOTHING. Waiting on a return call from "Bob" which Rochelle couldn't even guarantee I will get BIG SURPRISE!!!!!!!

Horrible Experience with General Motors – Chevrolet Damaged my Car during service.

Please read, if you are a General Motors- Chevrolet Car Owner Hi All, Just wanted to share my experience at Chevrolet Service Centre in India. I brought my car to Chevrolet service Centre in India, for regular service and replacement of ignition coil. At the time of handover of my car, I specifically told the service advise that CNG kit is installed in my car, if you guys are comfortable doing the service and replacement, then go ahead else, let me know, so that I can take a call. The service advisor, prepared the estimate for all the work, and told me to come next day for delivery. After two days, when I went to the service station for delivery of my car, the service advise told handover the bill to me and get the car washed. He informed me that get the CNG disconnect from outside and come for replacement of ignition coil. I made the complete payment as told to me by service advisor, though the ignition coil was not replaced. When I got my car, my car was not getting switched to CNG. When I get this checked with the local mechanic, I got to know that the main component of the CNG kit got damaged and needs to be replaced. The replacement of ignition coil, which was supposed to be done did not happen and they damaged the CNG kit in my car. I made a complaint to Chevrolet customer care next day and got a call from service advisor. I told them if you guys were not comfortable working on call having CNG kit installed in it, you should have told me at the initial stage instead of damaging my car. I said, whatever happed, now have to get this done from outside. He insist me to bring the car to service Centre and told me that I will not be charged. The customer care manager also called me and told me to bring the car for service station and they will get this fixed. I brought the car to the service station as per their given time and date. After two days, they told me that I have to pay ten thousand rupee more for repaid and they will not fix the CNG kit damage. This was crazy. Actually, they wanted to me to bring the car again to their service station so that the generate more revenue and more money. I made a complaint at higher authorities. Initially, they we not ready to believe me that Chevrolet service station behaved like this. One of them told me that I am making excuses to avoid payment. This is the way Chevrolet India is working in India and do not hesitate to make such comments on customers to earn money. I made the payment whatever they told me and get my car released from them. After that, I shared the call conversation and other evidence with the higher authorities, which proved them that the service station was wrong. Now, I have my car with me with damaged CNG system in it. I wanted to share my experience with you all, so that we can keep this in mind, before going to Chevrolet service station.

Trouble Returning Leased Camaro

When I tried to return my leased Camaro at Henderson Chevrolet, I was told that I had to come back 3 days later. I told them that if I did that, I would be late and have to pay a late fee. They not only didn't care, when I asked for a manager to resolve the issue, he started yelling at me. The manager did not offer a solution to the problem, and acted as if he couldn't fill out the one page form that was necessary for a Lease return. He even confronted me in a hostile manner. Very unprofessional. I ended up going across the street to a Cadillac dealer, found the nearest salesman, and he filled out the form in 2 minutes. This occurred on June 10, 2016 at 4:30 pm.

We have been loyal customers at Castriota Chevrolet throughout the years, 4 vehicles purchased through them to be exact. Never again! Sales people that are there now are sneaky and lazy and obviously dont care to make a sale. Suburban was listed at 17, 900 online, we go to view it and its marked wholesale, amazingly a week later its 19,990 because they "fixed" the locks. False advertising or trying to sell junk. Told us we couldnt get into that vehicle ( hadnt even pulled our credit yet) but instead told us they could get us into a brand new traverse (even more pricey)! You have lost our trust Castriota and I will let everyone know why! Please bring back the caliber of sales people you "used too" employ, not lazy sneaks that are not concerned with customers. And how about not posting vehicles for sale on line (that arent really for sale) that you have marked for wholesale because they are BROKE or is that just a scam to bring people in to talk them into more expensive cars???? NEVER AGAIN

Cheep door handle breaks...3rd Suburban, 3rd occurrence

My 110 lb wife pulled on the door handle before the car was unlocked. It broke in her hand. This is my third Suburban and unfortunately my last. This has happened with different doors...but the same story each time. I don't travel with overly aggressive or strong passengers. The service manager attempted to teach me how to open the door more gently and suggested that I teach my passengers to grasp the handle close to the hinge point and pull gently. My God...this is the biggest, heaviest, "Chevy Tough" vehicle on the market and the suggestion is to teach my friends, family and customers how to gently open the door? This is my last Suburban, Chevy, or GM product. The cost to repair was $332. I am 100% sure that this is planned obsolescence and a source of revenue. The service guy said that they had three others in for the same repair.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Lt 4wd Car Review from Margate, Florida

Terrible car and terrible customer service. My daughter got locked inside the car with the keys inside. The door is never supposed to close with keys inside! We had to break the window to get her out. Now chevy is telling us we are at fault for breaking the car window and we need to go through with fixing it with our insurance company. A week later our Ac is broken! Very discusted by there customer service!

Clutch issue

Dear Team i have Chervolet Beat 2012 Model and my first service was done in 27/05/2013 at Auto Vika Sales & service Pvt ltd with invoice No 000632 & at tha time i have infomed them about car belt noise & Clutch problem,for belt problem they have mention on paper & for clutch they said its a part of General Checkup,it same will be rectify.but it was not,then after in 2014 again i took the car for service, & same problem was addresses to enginer,they comleted the service part,but clutch problem was still there, then i left auto vikas,as they dont have good enginers,i approach Sparsh auto,& again there i have informed about the problem & they assured me in service it will get rectify,after few days i found clutch started making sound of (chu Chu) i ignore the sound as some time it was there & some time not,then in 2016 i got the call from sparsh auto for servicing of my car,so i address my concern that i am not happy with the services which Chervolet is giving to me,lady said,you bring the car for free checkup,as there was some 80 points checkup going on will resolve the issue,then i took my car on 10/04/2016 & they have wash the car,& then they check the lights, coolent,AC filter,it was not fine so they change the AC filterfor which they charged me 595 bucks,& then i asked enginer to check the clutch & he said it is not the part of free checkup.then i took my car & return back, & now today clutch is creating much problem..sorry..but i must say worst service experience with chervolet it was my big mistake to become the part of chervolet.... reqest suport,kindly look into my case take some action so that problem can be resolved at theearliest Pls not i have also raised the RTI againstthis issue for which my request No is DARPGE/2016/08295 Looking forward for your cooperation Thanks & regards Yogesh Madaan 971180****

I have aveo uva car for the last 7 years and i had got my car serviced regularly through service. While driving from mumbai to shirdi ahead from 100/km from mumbai my car accellarator has stopped working and i was in speed of 100/km and many of the car were behind me. Suddenly my car was not working and all the car which were behind me however managed to stop and avoid major accident. God has given us new life to my family whereas my car was serviced on january and car was hadly driven only 1000 km. In the middle the highway i called the local machinic who told that the head of your car is not working because of the pump of vechile is not working and it appears that your engine is seized. Thereafter i called the nikhil automobile service center and their representative response was so cold that i cannot explain he was not ready to talk on phone so it can be imagined a person who however by the grace of god their family saved their life and a person who responsible behind this act did not ready to talk.They did not got the service of the car well done. When my car reached to the service centre by carring of towing first and foremost they did not do anything and after two days they phoned me that you have to pay 10000 thereafter we touhed your car and then estimate will be delivered.Its means there is no responsibilty of company they only sell and make money to fool the customer. I regularly got my car serviced through nikhil automobile and they charged 12000 to 15000 thousand and i regularly paid as their adviced despite such incident would happen then why customer go to authorized service center. So my personal request to all customer you think 100 times before selecting general motor vechile. I am also going to lodge case against the gm who plays with the life of customer.

Bad experience of Service at MALHOTRA CHEVROLET - GUWAHATI Malhotra Chevrolet utkarsh.sales@***.com I took my Beat (D) for servicing to Malhotra Chevrolet ( Utkarsh Mototech Pvt Ltd.) at 8.45 am on 04/05/2016 and surprised by the dealer’s unprofessional attitude. 1. My vehicle was marked 5th in serial registration number, and service advisor’s started putting on vehicle registering hap haphazardly, keeping me waiting up to 4.30 PM finally when my car got a chance to enter the workshop. This way I lost my entire day unnecessarily. My complaints fell on deaf ears and nobody in charge, had the minimum curtsy to say sorry. 2. The works in charge people at reception and workshop engineers are incompetent, unprofessional and arrogant and they do not even bother to inspect a vehicle before taking in. Neither I saw the common practise of all other car companies before taking a car in, like note down of fuel gauge, different extra fittings or personal materials inside. 3. The work site of the service station is unbelievably filthy, and it is surprising that a Big company like Chevrolet has allowed to keep it going without an inspection. 4. Actuators-bad, bad idea, and *** technology

The relentless noise from it seems as if you are being force to repair it or endure the agony of hearing the noise. Back in the day there were no need for actuators,so why is a need now.AC will work fine without actuators forcing your hand to repair(and primarily develop it seem for monetary gain).I am a big fan general motors, and at times can be a critic of some tech ideas that seems ***.At the top of the list of stupidity is that actuator and the insensible noise that it makes. At, the end of the day,my opinion will never change(bad idea).

Dealership service department fraud

We own a 2010 chevy traverse. At 90,000 miles we had issues with the timing chain, head gasket etc and it was replaced under warranty by the dealership. That was a year ago. Our car now has 115,000 miles and we experienced problems with the engine. We found out it was the timing chain again. I called the dealership that did the work previously and they were extremely rude to my husband and I. They told us that there were 15 codes and that it was going to cost approximately 5500.00 to fix and they didn't think that would solve all of the issues so we might as well put a new engine in for 7000.00. After I called GM customer relations, the dealership said they would pay 3400. and we would have to pay the rest. We took it to another dealership for a second opinion. The regional manager got involved and said we had to go back to the first dealership. I absolutely refused to do any business with them. I found out a friend of mine works for a different chevy dealership and he agreed to look at the car. They are now fixing the car for 2200.00. Although I am glad we are getting it fixed, I don't think we should have had to put all of this money out. I find it odd that at timing chain went bad again in less than 20,000 miles. I am also extremely angry at the way the first dealership and the regional manager treated us. I will never do business with them again.
