I have a 14 chevy silverado with 123000 miles on it my paint is chipping around bottom fronts doors and on rear of truck. I was told there was a recall for this or a notice that gm knows about and i would like to get this fixed. I feel i shouldnt have to pay to fix this since this is chipping due to a defect in the paint. I need to find out how to fix this asap. Alma Hover Almahover@***.com 443735****

Still waiting for a update

Update by user May 11, 2021

Haven't heard anything and wondering if the hold up is because of outside manufacturing...American vehicles should be made in America, no excuses

Why is there no recall

I have a 2015 chevy silverado and for the past year or so my truck has been getting worse and worse everyday i drive it. While I'm driving the service stabilitrak indicator comes on, then all the music, door chimea, seatbelt chimes will go out, my dashboard will go black and even my power steering will have trouble and a few times I've had it yank my steering wheel to the left or right. I know for a fact I'm not the only with this issue. Ive been on chevy forums and youtube and saw thousands of others with similar issues. Yet there is no recall. I took it to my chevy dealer where i bought from and they wantwd $150 to even run a diagnostic check which is insulting because this is a chevy issue. I even told them i was a veteran and that didnt seem to matter any. This is very frustrating especially by your commercials you guys portraying that you're a company with standards for veterans but are not holding true to that in real life.

Customer treatment & common courtesy

Do you have any dealers in Florida that have any idea of what the words honesty & respect mean. I am 67 years old and bought my first new Chevy in 1969 a SS 396 Chevrolet since that time I purchased 29 more vehicles including 10 factory ordered Corvettes. I fully...

My vehicle was damaged

Yes there still an issue, I sent my pictures and I also called headquarters and there was no notes saying there was damaged done prior. Headquarters said that it should have said it on my paper as well. I still have the paper too.

Bad transmission

IAt 70,000 miles, the trans in my 2017 ****HD went bad. and had to be completely rebuilt to the tune of $4000.00. The technician at the transmission shop told me that the 6 speed trans in these trucks were "dogs" .and some were going bad at 50,000 - 60,000 miles. A 50,000 truck that is supposed to be heavy duty should not blow a transmission, especially when it has been regularly serviced.

User's recommendation: I hI have been buying Chevy since 1974. Maybe time to buy an import ??

Prevent Scams

They did "recommended work" after I told them NO and tried to charge me for it. Last year I took my 2017 Camaro to Fairfield Chevrolet to get the thermostat replaced. It was covered under warranty so I should've been in and out with no costs. I drop off my car, then get a call from the service department about work that they recommend I get done. I told them NO. I only want the thermostat because that is what is covered by the warranty. The service person told me that I had to decline the recommend service on some website via a link that he sent. I definitely thought that was weird since I had just verbally told him NO. So, he sent the link and I declined all of the extra work *and took a screen shot because I'm not a dummy*. So, I believe it was the next day, I get the call that my car is done and get dropped off at the dealership. I go to the counter for my paperwork and keys, and they tell me I owe $600+. I told them that was a mistake since my thermostat was covered under warranty. The guy at the desk told me that the person that called the day before and sent the link SAID that I wanted the recommended work done. (That was a lie. I was VERY clear that I only wanted the thermostat done from the moment I initially walked in.) So he calls his manager and asks me to have a seat in the waiting area. As I'm sitting there, I look through my pictures for the SCREENSHOT that I took after declining the work. FOUND IT! So, I get up and wait for the manager to come over. Explain the situation and show him the screen shot. This man argued with me for at least 30 minutes. He said that I hd to pay to get my car back, his technicians needed to be paid for the work they did, he even offered me a "deal" to pay half of the cost. He even went as far as asking if I had a credit card to charge it too! I realized then that I was getting scammed. I told them that I would not have approved work that I don't have the money for. I had just had my hours at work reduced due to covid and they were taking advantage of me. After continuing to argue for another 15 minutes or so, the manager finally gave in and handed me my keys. I asked to speak to the service person that called me and sent me the link, and mysteriously, he no longer worked there. I was extremely skeptical. They tried it... and failed. Lessons learned: 1. Don't go back to Fairfield Chevrolet (or any Chevrolet) for service 2. Screenshot and take pictures of everything! 3. Do NOT back down if you feel like you're being scammed.

Where the *** are my parts

To whom this may concern, I bought a new truck in December, in mid February it went into the shop leaving me not truck to run my business with, the dealer has been of no help trying to get me something to drive to accommodate my work demand, it has been 4 weeks now and the dealer still doesnt know when the parts are going to be in let alone getting me back into my truck, I have not been able to do any work in weeks and Im completely disgusted with the service that Chevrolet had provided me at this point, I have even started a case number with corporate and that has been useless to this point, how much money do I have to spend to get taken care of? Apparently 75k wasnt enough to get any type of service

NHTSA TSB listed but not being covered for my VIN

Chevrolet - NHTSA TSB listed but not being covered for my VIN
Water leak on headliner at sun visor or overhead console areas due to Existing NHTSA TSB listed issue "Sharkfin Antenna" Have reached out to Chevrolet Dealership to address concern of issue that I was able to locate same thing happening to this year vehicle where TSBs have been identified to be told my VIN # is not listed. This would require me to have a Water Specialist come out to the dealership to assess the issue and pay them $120 before any repairs or pricing detail provided for vehicle since there is no TSB listed for my vin. Yes i can put silicone around it and call it a day but its a newer truck and I would like the issue fixed the right way and have truck properly inspected to ensure my electrical components of my vehicle OnStar, XM, GPS or antenna don't malfunction due to corrosion. My vehicle is a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 CREW CAB. My 2017 had the battery replaced after driving 20 thousand miles , the new pack is bar coded and serial numbered and I have a picture of that! I would like to know if my new pack is still under the recall? And I know the recall is vin specific!
